Aqua Culture (aquaculture) is farming in water, or Aquafarming. This method is used for both freshwater and saltwater aquatic organisms in a controlled environment.

Due to the increased issues of polluted waterways and fishing regulations, Aquaculture attempts to provide higher quality seafood, larger quantities, and while not depleting the aquatic inventories in our oceans, lakes and streams.

Types of Aquaculture are endless, the most popular food aquaculture being crayfish, lobster, salmon, tilapia, shrimp, clams, trout, catfish, and oysters.

Aquaculture is not limited to fish and crustaceans, seaweed, sea cucumbers, algea, and other plant life are also cultivated by aquaculture farming.
